Live From Tuesday Creek: Labor Day Weekend Performance

We’re reopening our the Tecumseh Theater Opera House to the public for the first time since 1960!

Our first monthly variety show series following the theater’s Grand (re)Opening will be a celebration of the region’s history and sense of place. “Live From Tuesday Creek” will feature musical performances by local artists as well as theatrical vignettes that capture the resilience of Southern Perry County.

A Note From John Winnenberg, co- founder of Sunday Creek Associates:

“Shawnee and the Little Cities of Black Diamonds/Little Cities of the Forest microregion is made up of two historically coal impacted watersheds: Sunday and Monday Creeks, which is also the footprint of the Athens Unit of the Wayne National Forest. Tuesday Creek exists in our imagination as a way to share our story, past, present and future as part of working to rebuild our culture and economy this time around. A mini play within the monthly show will be titled ”This Time Around,” a series with episodes during the “Live from Tuesday Creek” event each month with characters and the community of Tuesday that we hope audiences will come to know and love over time.” - JW
